Very low or extremely low income


Have physical/legal custody of at least one minor child


Enrolled in community college or university working toward your Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and have completed at least 1 semester.

We accept clients in a vocational program on a case-by-case basis.


Single parent of a minor child. Not living with a romantic partner, significant other, or parent of the child, even if separated or divorced


Have 3.0 GPA (or close)


Have a source of income
(not necessarily employment)


Live, work, or attend college in Orange County, CA

There are two steps to apply

Part 1: Complete online application (approx. 15 minutes to complete)
Part 2: Upload supporting documentation to your online application:

Unofficial transcripts for the past two years that show your grades and current class schedule

One page personal essay
Please describe your educational goals and plan for accomplishing them, note any obstacles you have overcome, and how PSS will help you accomplish your goals

Income verification such as pay stubs, cash aid, financial aid, Social Security, child support, etc.

Two letters of recommendation from an employer, former employer, educator, counselor, agency representative, case manager, or equivalent

Monthly household budget

Note: Applications without supporting documentations are considered incomplete and will not be processed until all documentation is received.
